Winning the War You Can't See

An Inspirational Devotion From Pastor Brian

June 5, 2025

The devil is real, and he is working hard to bring trouble into your life. He wants to steal, kill, and destroy. That is his plan for you. But God also has a plan for your life, and His plan is full of hope, peace, and victory.

Many people only focus on what they can see. But the Bible tells us there’s more going on than what we see with our eyes. In 2 Corinthians 4:18, it says, “We don’t look at the things that are seen. We look at the things that are not seen. The things that are seen are only for a short time, but the things that are not seen will last forever.” That means there is a real spiritual world, and we are part of a spiritual battle.

But here’s the good news. God is much greater than the devil. Let’s look at three things about God that help us fight the enemy:

God is everywhere. That means you are never alone. Even when you feel far from God, He is right there with you.

God is all powerful. There is no one stronger than God. Not even the devil.

God knows everything. He knows what you’re going through and how to help you.

The devil is not everywhere. He is not all powerful. And he doesn’t know everything. But God does. When we trust Jesus and believe in the power of His blood, we can win the battle every day.

Until next time, remember to take time out for God, because God always has time for you!

Sticky Statement:

The devil wants to destroy your life, but God has the power to save it.

Questions To Think About

  1. Do I believe that God is stronger than the devil?
  2. Am I trusting God when I feel afraid or alone?
  3. How can I use God’s Word to fight the enemy today?

Prayer For Today:

"Dear God, thank You for being with me every day. I know the devil wants to hurt me, but I trust that You are stronger. Help me remember that You are always with me, that You know everything, and that Your power is greater. Thank You for loving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
