Open Your Bible, Hear His Voice
"Open Your Bible, Hear His Voice"
An Inspirational Devotion From Pastor Brian
May 19, 2025
Have you ever asked, “How can I know God’s will for my life?” The answer begins with the Bible. God speaks to us today through His Word. If we want to hear His voice, we must open the Scriptures and read.
Psalm 119:105 says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” This verse reminds us that the Bible helps guide our decisions and gives clarity when life feels confusing. While you may not find specific answers like which job to take or who to marry, God’s Word gives you peace, wisdom, and strength to walk in the right direction.
Jesus said in Luke 11:28, “Blessed are they that hear the word of God and keep it.” That means we’re blessed when we not only hear the Bible but also obey it.
If you’re not in a daily habit of reading the Bible, start small. Read a chapter from the book of John. Add a Psalm or a Proverb each day. Let the Word of God be the first voice you hear in the morning. And remember, the Holy Spirit speaks through the Bible to your heart.
The more you read the Word, the more clearly you’ll hear God’s voice.
Until next time, remember to take time out for God, because God always has time for you!
Sticky Statement:
God’s voice is most often heard when His Word is most often read.
Questions To Think About
Prayer For Today:
"Lord, thank You for giving me the Bible. Help me to read it daily and listen closely for Your voice. Teach me through Your Word and lead me in every part of my life. In Jesus’ name, amen."
