Jesus Is Coming Soon

An Inspirational Devotion From Pastor Brian

June 25, 2025

The Bible tells us that the next great event on God’s calendar is the return of His Son, Jesus Christ. I believe we are very close to what the Bible calls the rapture of the Church. Jesus Himself said, “When you see these things begin to come to pass, look up, for your redemption draws near.”

Now I know, some may say, “I’ve heard that all my life.” And I get that. I’ve heard it my whole life too. But just because the wait has been long doesn’t mean the promise won’t happen. Jesus is coming! And I believe He is coming very, very soon.

The Bible does not tell us the exact day or hour. In fact, it warns us not to listen to those who claim they know. What it does tell us is to watch and pray. The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4 that “the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout… and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air.”

That’s the rapture. And Paul finishes by saying, “Comfort one another with these words.”

The coming of Jesus is not something to fear. For the believer, it’s our blessed hope. Titus 2:13 calls it “the blessed hope of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” So when the world looks uncertain, and the headlines bring fear, remember this. We are to look up and not hang our heads down.

If you don’t know Jesus as your Savior, don’t wait another day. Invite Him into your heart. Confess your sins. He will forgive you. And He will give you peace.

Until next time, remember to take time out for God, because God always has time for you!

Sticky Statement:

The return of Jesus is not a fear to run from but a hope to run to.

Questions To Think About

  1. Do I live each day like Jesus could return at any moment?
  2. Am I more focused on this world or the world to come?
  3. If Jesus came back today, am I ready to meet Him?

Prayer For Today:

"Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise that Jesus is coming again. I don’t want to live in fear but in faith. Help me to stay ready and live every day with my eyes fixed on You. Forgive me for getting distracted by the things of this world. Strengthen my hope and help me lead others to You before it’s too late. In Jesus' name, Amen."
