Why Israel Matters To God and To Us

An Inspirational Devotion From Pastor Brian

June 19, 2025

Let me remind you of something strong and simple. God always keeps His promises. No matter what’s happening in the world, that truth will never change.

We’ve been talking about what’s going on in the Middle East. And while it may seem like a new conflict, the truth is this fight has been going on for a long time. That part of the world has always had tension. But this isn’t just about politics. It’s much deeper. This is a spiritual battle.

All the way back in Genesis 12, God made a promise to Abram whose name was changed to Abraham. God told him to leave his home and go to a land that He would show him. God promised to make Abraham a great nation. God said He would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. That promise still stands today.

The devil has been trying to stop God’s plan from the very beginning. He uses people and nations to come against Israel. But here’s what I know. Satan cannot stop the Word of God. He can try all he wants, but he will never win. God’s Word is forever. God’s promises will always come to pass.

That’s why we must stand with Israel. God said if we bless them, He will bless us. But if we curse them, we bring trouble on ourselves. That’s not something to take lightly. It’s right there in the Bible.

I want to encourage you today. When you see conflict in the news, do not be afraid. Be alert. Know the Bible is unfolding right in front of us. God is still on the throne, and He is in control.

Until next time, remember to take time out for God, because God always has time for you!

Sticky Statement:

God’s promises still stand, no matter how hard the enemy fights.

Questions To Think About

  1. Do I believe that God still keeps His promises today?
  2. How can I bless the people and land of Israel this week?
  3. Am I standing on God’s side, no matter what the world says?

Prayer For Today:

"Lord, thank You for always keeping Your promises. Even when the world feels unsure, I know I can count on You. Help me to stand with Your Word and bless what You have blessed. I pray for peace in Jerusalem and for protection over Israel. Give me the faith to trust You and the boldness to speak truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

Thank you for sharing this devotion with your friends.
